As an accomplished runner for more than 30 years and an ultra endurance runner for nearly 15 years I have learned through experience how my body works and how it recovers; I have developed my training methods and diet through trial and error in the search of higher performances whilst keeping the sense of enjoyment in my sport. But, I believe that it is extremely important to carry out scientific research in the ultra endurance sports domain in general and that the results be diffused throughout the medical industry and to those practicing these sports. This is the reason I am supporting this UltraSportsScience project.
