Case Reports

Explore Ultra Sports Science Case Reports here .

We invite you to explore and contribute to the discussion of interesting cases in ultra-endurance sports.  We also invite you to submit interesting cases you come across.

Case reports remain an important method to advance medical scientific knowledge.  Case reports are particularly important with rare conditions such as many of the medical issues we see during ultra-endurance races.  Also, since many of us only cover races a few times a year, case reports are a good way to benefit from the experience of other health care providers at other races without actually being there.

Case report submissions should be fairly brief (around 500 words) and divided into the following sections: History, Exam, Treatment/Disposition, Follow-up Care, Take Home Points.

We really hope that the case reports becomes a powerful learning tool, but to do this, we need you to participate!  Please take a few minutes to send us your cases.
